After an offseason of moving parts for the Jets the Jets went thru the preseason playing every game and coming away with a 3-1 record in 4 games that meant nothing.

What it meant to the Jets was getting comfortable with all their new guys.

Come Week 1 the Jets were faced with an opponent that they had face 3 times in Madden 13.They lost ot the Hawks in season 1 regular season, season 2 preseason and beat them in the preseason this season. The win this preseason was the first time Coach Dan9 ever beat Coach X in Madden history.

Week 1 would prov to be a challenge but the Jets were able to outduel the Seahawks by the score of 48-38.

The Hawks would take the lead with a 74 yard TD pass from Phillip Rivers with 4:53 left...After the Hawks get it back and miss a FG The Jets would drive the short  field getting to the 12 yard line. The Jets would then score on a classic play.THE TRIPLE OPTION!...Tebow fakes up the middle to RB Bibb and takes off to the right. As the defenders bare down on him he flips back to RB Baker who walks in to the endzone for a 12 yard TD with 2:12 left.

With 151 left in the game 2nd Overall pick MLB T. Green would pick off Rivers on an outside post pattern and take it to the house 43 yards for the TD.

Some mainstays for the Jets had some good games, but it was the new comers that really took control for the Jets.

Tebow went 14/27 for 477 yards and 4 Td and 1 Int

S. Hill had 3 rec 167 yards and 1 TD and 2nd Year TE Wells and 47 yards and 1 Td.

Coples and Wilkerson both had a sack each

The newcomes tho showed their stuff in Week 1

J. Finley 5 rec 187 yards 2 TD

Tramon Williams had 1 Interception

Rookie CB (1st round pick) Campbell had 2 tackles and 1 pass deflections..

Rookie OLB Griffin (2nd round pick) had 1 tackle (1 for loss) and an Interception..(also had a fumble recovery but it was overturned.

2nd overall pick MLB T. Green had 2 tackles (1 for loss) 1 sack and 1 Interception that he returned for a 43 yard Td.
